Basic Handgun Safety Course- $59

Three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.  

                    This course is for people who have little or no experience with firearms.

 Dynamic Practical Pistol Course Level 1 - $79

This course takes students through the efficient and safe use of a handgun. Working from the holster using the proper draw, performing reloads, clearing stoppages, and correctly manipulating a trigger to maximize accuracy are all taught in a relaxed, hands-on environment. If it has been a while since you have taken a formal basic handgun course then this is the course to get you back in action and ready to jump into the world of practical defensive handgun shooting. Instructors will perform a range safety brief, students will quickly move to the range, gear up, and start running guns from holsters and performing drills under the watchful eye of an instructor who will get you proficient and confident with the basic skills. At the completion of this course students will have the tools and comfort level needed to move forward.  


This is a 4 hour course with a certificate of achievement upon completion.

-Holster that will secure your firearm and prevent from falling out while moving. NO pocket style   holsters.

-Appropriate footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning, closed toed shoes are required.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather
-Water, hydration and snacks
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
-Hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs

Dynamic Practical Pistol Course Level 2 - $79

The dynamic practical pistol course level 2 is designed to put the shooter through a series of challenging drills to measure performance based on reaction time, accuracy and proper use of cover and concealment. Every drill challenges the shooter based upon their individual performance through strict baseline scoring of accuracy and speed. The drills require the shooter to move dynamically between stances and shooting positions, and incorporates moving and running to positions of cover or concealment at various distances.

This is a 4 hour course with a certificate of achievement upon completion.

Practical Carry Pistol Course - $129

Practical Carry Pistol is the next step in advancing your shooting skills offered by Norsemen Training & Consulting Group. With your handgun skills firmly built on firearm safety, responsibly and the basic fundamentals of proper we will continue to perfect those skills and build upon them with speed and accuracy drills and add more levels of competency by introducing environmental stressors. This is an excellent course for the handgun shooter looking for practical personal defense pistol skills. Practical Carry Pistol training is conducted in a realistic manner, stressing proper use of cover, movement, positional shooting, and scenario driven training. In addition, students will practice close quarters encounters and weapon control. Student will be challenged to think outside the box and provided realistic scenarios to work through. Not every situation is a shoot situation, knowing when and how to neutralize the threat is an important part of our raining. This is a Physically Demanding course with extended time on your feet, on the ground, in and out of vehicles and moving.

This is an 8 hour course with a certificate of achievement upon completion.

-Holster that will secure your firearm and prevent from falling out while moving. NO Tactical style holsters. Holster must be concealable.
-Magazine pouch and 3 magazines

-Appropriate footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning, closed toed shoes are required.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather.
-Proper cover, shirt or vest to conceal your firearm.
-Water, hydration and snacks
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

Intro to Action Pistol- $90

Is your current idea of shooting standing still shooting at a piece of paper? Are you getting bored shooting the same old target?  Would you like a challenge and improve your defensive handgun skills while having more fun? With our involvement in the shooting sports, we recognize that new shooters interested in shooting for the first time are often confused by the differences between today’s competitive handgun match disciplines and organizations. During Intro to Action Pistol we help students will understand the differences between Steel Challenge, USPSA and IDPA. Students will also learn to draw from the holster safely, reload, shoot from various positions including the use of barricades, windows, etc. Students will also shoot an competition course and steel course that will be similar to ones they might encounter in an actual match.

This is a 6 hour course with a certificate of achievement upon completion.

-Safe and serviceable handgun, either revolver or pistol, in a caliber of .45, .40, 9mm/.38 Special
-Holster that will secure your firearm and prevent from falling out while moving. NO pocket style holsters.
-Magazine or speed loader pouch
-At least 2 extra magazines or speed loaders
-Sturdy belt that will securely hold the holster and mag pouches
-Appropriate footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning, closed toed shoes are required.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather
-Water, hydration and snacks
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
-Hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs
-Estimated round count: 200 rounds. Ammunition is available for purchase at the range.

Students should bring their own safe and serviceable handgun, either revolver or pistol, in a caliber of .45, .40, 9mm/.38 Special, at least two extra magazines or speed-loaders and belt carriers for the same, a holster and sturdy belt. However, Peacemaker has premium competition handguns for rent to students. 150 rounds of ammunition will be required per student.

 AR/M4 Rifle Basic Course - $79

This is a basic new user 4 hour course designed to prepare the operator with the necessary knowledge to operate and accurately fire the AR rifle platform. This course is designed for the AR-15 type weapons system, but can be also taught for other rifles using the same type of AR weapons system. The course will consist of classroom instruction, no ammo drills, and live fire exercises. This course will take the student through the function of the weapon, nomenclature, take down-cleaning-reassembly and function tests; this is a hand’s on course and will be taught rain or shine on our outdoor range.

This is a 4 hour course with a certificate of achievement upon completion.

 Low Light Fundamentals - $59

This basic Low Light Fundamentals course is specifically designed for those who may require an enhanced knowledge of the application of diminished light tactics and tools in conjunction with the use of firearms in critical, real world situations. Unlike other reduced light training courses that are open only to police officers, our Low Light Course is open to all. The focus is not on selling you a flashlight, or guns, rather our focus is to teach you the best methods for winning in a reduced light confrontation.  Norsemen Firearms Training Division is committed to providing our students with the most modern, combat-proven techniques and tactics to win a low light encounter. By learning and using practical tactically correct techniques and methods, you'll ensure you and your family’s survival while putting your adversary at a severe disadvantage.

This is a 3 hour course with a certificate of achievement upon completion.

-Holster and belt that will secure your firearm and prevent from falling out while moving. NO pocket style holsters.
-Magazine pouch and 3 magazines
-Handheld flashlight (1 is good, 2 is better)

-Water, hydration
-Wraparound clear eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

Private Instruction – $50 per hour

We at Norsemen Training & Consulting Group are firearms instruction professionals dedicated to bringing the best in gun education to you, whatever your level of knowledge, with an emphasis in safety.  We cater private instructional programs to suit your needs, from beginner to expert.  Your goal may be for shooting sports, personal and home protection, professional security or law enforcement, or simply for enlightenment. You are provided a quality education in a safe, secure and non-threatening environment.  We offer certified, professional instructors who care about our students in a practical not "tacticool" enviroment.



NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course - $100

The basic Pistol Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet; take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

 
NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course - $150

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. The NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course participants must be law abiding, adults (at least 21 years old), and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.
